with Deborah Carruthers MA, RYT 500
Held on three Sundays: Nov 7th, Dec 5th, & Dec 12th
Deborah has been engaged in the study of life sciences for many years. Starting with the science of psychology, then adding in the science of Yoga and Ayurveda.
In this workshop series, she offers three topics for digestion:
1) Nov 7th: FREE! You are what you eat. One of the four pillars of Ayurveda is digestion. Health fads have come and gone leaving many of us confused about what to eat. In this workshop, we will cover foods and spices that enhance digestion and foods that create inflammation and poor digestion. Learn to eat for your constitution and say goodbye to indigestion, weight gain, low energy, bloating, gas and constipation.
2) Dec 5th: You are what you think. Scientific research is confirming what the ancient thinkers, sages, and gurus have taught us. When we begin to understand the mind/body connection, what we take in from our environment and how we perceive or think about ourselves, others and the external experiences can have a positive or negative impact on our health. In this workshop, we will use the art of inquiry, reflection, and meditation to create a quality of mind that is harmonious.
3) Dec 12th: You are what you practice. A disciplined life is a life devoted to a peaceful mind, healthy body, and alignment to your purpose. The yogic tradition gives us tools and practices to cultivate a healthy and strong body and equanimous mind. A way of life that is aligned to spiritual practice and is embodied and joyful.
Investment: The first workshop is free. $ 125.00 plus GST for both workshops 2 & 3, or $75 plus GST for individual sessions
In-person seats are limited to 15 ppl. Online through Zoom will also be offered, with a recording. Sign up here.
