As we settle into day three of our retreat, themes emerge to be expressed and shared. It takes courage to embark on a journey halfway around the world with a group of strangers who travel and live together for three weeks. Courage to face uncertainty, discomfort, and fear to lean into communion and fellowship. Introverts and extroverts find ways to respect and live together with understanding.
Our family here at Chrissie’s Hotel takes care of our every need so that we are fully supported to transform uncertainty and fear into service and love.
While the news reports the conflicts and issues between Canada and India; here all we know is the love and support of the community.
I love to see the world through the eyes of the students here. It is difficult to find the words that describe our experience. Awestruck with the beauty in the natural world, the friendliness of the people, and the food that is made with love every day, we feel truly blessed. Yoga is what yokes us together, brings us peace, and gives us strength to meet the day with grace. The real story about humanity is one of kindness, interconnection, and willingness to support each other.
As I sit here writing our group just got back from a visit to the Spice Garden- with eyes lit up and bubbling joy they are again awestruck. I overheard the delight of someone saying let’s go shopping. We practice, we eat, and repeat, with some free time to explore the jewels in the community!
Blessings from India
