Kendra Crighton

Kendra is a certified yoga instructor, former journalist and documentary filmmaker. She received her 200-hour certification from Ma Yoga and Wellness in Victoria, BC in 2022 and has completed a 30-hour trauma informed teaching certification from Yoga Outreach. She has also taken part in multiple mentorship programs with VI Yoga School and Fiji McAlpine.

Kendra has combined her passion for storytelling and wellness through her teachings. With five years of experience in journalism and almost a decade of personal practice under her belt, Kendra has a unique perspective on the power of community and the impact it can have on people. She believes that yoga is not just a physical practice, but a tool for building stronger, more connected communities and individuals.

Off the mat, Kendra continues to leverage her background in journalism to shine a light on critical social issues. As the Director of Media at The Existence Project, a non-profit organization committed to humanizing homelessness, she utilizes her storytelling skills to advocate for positive change within communities. In addition to her journalistic endeavours, Kendra has embarked on a new journey pursuing a Master’s degree in counselling. Through her multifaceted career, she remains dedicated to promoting unity and fostering positive transformation within communities and individuals, both on and off the yoga mat
