The Grande Finale and Saying Goodbye for Now

We are approaching our final day of the retreat, and I am feeling sorrow welling up—water behind the eyes and the pain of saying until next year. I spoke with Adel and shared that next year will be my last retreat in India, and his response was, “Let’s make it a Grand Finale!”

The topic for today’s Dharma talk was Awakening to Grace. So many opportunities to develop Inner Sovereignty. Cradled in, self-honesty and embodied living in a state of Grace and full Presence, holding trust, love and discernment, anchored by ethics and values.

Open the window of your own heart, and the world will come to you. This is my daily practice – stay open, cultivate love for all beings.

Tomorrow we celebrate our time together in Saris and mark the occasion with a meal, music, and our profound gratitude for the staff’s support. Adel, the staff and I are a well-practiced team, with the sole purpose of providing sanctuary and care for the retreat folks.

I say goodbye to my sanctuary until we meet again next year.

With love,
Deborah
